Those with even a passing interest in British horse racing will be aware of the Aintree Grand National. It’s a race that’s watched both here in the UK, and around the world by 500-600 million people each year – and let’s not forget the thousands watching the action on course. The Grand National has produced some memorable results, making household names out of the likes of Red Rum (three times winner) and Tiger Roll (back to back winner in 2018 – 2019), jockeys AP McCoy and Rachael Blackmore (first female winner) and trainers such as Ginger McCain, Gordon Elliott and many more besides.
There is such history and battling spirit to the Grand National, and here we highlight those efforts via the results of each year. Here at Grand National Results, we list the full result from previous Grand National races, and build a picture of the race and of those taking part.
What better way to start than a look at the very first Grand National Result (from 1839) and latest result (from 2026).
