The Grand National Results that you see can also show a different number of finishers each year. This can be a result of many reasons including; the number of starters, weather/ground condition (going), fences lowered or modified (current day fences much safer), pile ups or even the fences that create problems (the Canal Turn or Becher’s Brook are notorious).
